Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was on Wednesday quoted as saying that he expected steps from the US Congress on the sale of F-16 fighter jets to Ankara after submitting a bill to ratify Sweden’s NATO membership to Turkey’s parliament. “As the president, I’ve done my part, but I have an expectation as well. The US should pass this (F-16 sales to Turkey) from its Congress, so that we can take these steps simultaneously,” Erdogan told reporters on a flight returning from Qatar, broadcaster Haberturk and others said. MINNEAPOLIS – Four Minnesota men have been indicted for their roles in a multi-million dollar scheme to transport stolen catalytic converters across state lines, announced U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger. Starting in December, travelers to Querétaro, Mexico, a hive of automotive industry activity, can fly there nonstop from San Antonio International Airport. Mexican low-cost carrier Viva Aerobus will begin offering year-round, nonstop flights on Mondays and Fridays. Tickets went on sale Thursday. This will be the sixth nonstop flight to Mexico out of the San Antonio airport. Other Mexican destinations include Cancun, Guadalajara, Leon, Mexico City and Monterrey.
