BRANCHBURG, NJ — Mexican food lovers can rejoice as another restaurant is coming to Somerset County.
Mr. Cactus Mexican Grill, based in Hillsborough, announced they will be expanding and opening a second location at 1010 Route 202 in Branchburg.
The family Mexican grill was started by Sergio and Adriana Jimenez, who came to Hillsborough from Oaxaca, Mexico.
“When coming to USA in 2007, they’ve always dreamt of having a family business that would allow them to work as a family and develop their ability for gastronomy. Without knowing how to begin a restaurant business, Sergio was still determined to make his dream come true,” according to mrcactusmexicangrill.com.
In December 2017, Sergio with his wife, Adriana, and his kids, Gustavo, Angelique, and Dulc, they were able to make the dream a reality.
“Our idea is that each customer leaves the restaurant with a little piece of Mexico,” said the family.
The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including seafood, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, desserts and soups.
Every salsa, marinade, and soups are fresh and from scratch, according to Mr. Cactus.
